Understanding the Market

Zambia Has Gold — But It Comes in Small Quantities

Zambia produces gold, but the majority of it comes from cooperatives, small-scale miners, and artisanal miners — not large commercial operations. Individual sellers typically offer between 10 grams and 200 grams at a time.

To reach 1 kilogram or more, gold must be sourced from many cooperatives and individual miners across multiple transactions. There is no single source where you simply place an order for a kilogram of gold and receive it. Anyone claiming otherwise should be treated with extreme caution.

The gold you will be buying is raw nuggets of varying quality, typically between 75% and 95% purity. This is not refined gold. It will need to be smelted and refined before it reaches bar or ingot form. The images below show what real Zambian gold purchases look like.

⚠️ Buyer Beware

Gold Scams Are Rampant in Zambia

The gold market is a seller's market. Sellers with genuine bulk supply — kilogram quantities or multiple bars and ingots — already have buyers lined up. They do not need to approach strangers, advertise online, or send unsolicited photos.

If someone is approaching you with large quantities of gold bars or ingots and actively looking for a buyer, ask yourself: why would a seller with bulk gold in a seller's market be struggling to find a buyer?

The video below shows a common setup used to lure victims — excessive quantities of gold displayed to create urgency and credibility. This is a scam format. Real transactions in Zambia look like the small nugget purchases shown in our photos above, not polished piles of bars.

  • Be suspicious of anyone offering large quantities of gold bars or ingots to an unknown buyer
  • No legitimate bulk seller needs to find a buyer through WhatsApp or social media
  • Requests for upfront fees, "certification costs", or transport payments are red flags
  • Always insist on physical testing (XRF or fire assay) before any payment
  • Real Zambian gold comes in small raw nuggets — not polished bars

Example of a gold scam setup — excessive quantities displayed to entice a victim. This is not what legitimate Zambian gold purchasing looks like.

Our Process

How We Source Gold on Your Behalf

Because gold is sold in small quantities by many sellers, we aggregate purchases from multiple cooperatives and artisanal miners until your order is filled.

1

Source

We identify reputable cooperatives and licensed artisanal miners across Zambia. Gold is purchased in small quantities — typically 10g to 200g per transaction — from multiple sources. Building to 1kg or more takes time and multiple purchases.

2

Smelt

Raw nuggets are smelted to produce a consolidated, measurable gold piece. Smelting removes some impurities and allows for accurate weighing of the accumulated quantity.

3

Test

After smelting, the gold is tested for purity using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis. We provide a purity report per batch — typically 75% to 95% for Zambian artisanal gold. No payment to miners is made without a verified purity reading.

4

Store

Tested gold is stored in our secure safe deposit box facility while we continue accumulating your required quantity. You receive regular updates and purity reports throughout the process.

5

Export & Handover

Once your quantity is reached, we handle all paperwork — export permits, mineral royalty tax declarations, Bank of Zambia notifications, and all other required documentation. We then arrange secure handover in Zambia or facilitate export to Dubai, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Karachi, New York, or another agreed destination.

Export Compliance

We Handle All the Paperwork

Exporting gold from Zambia is a regulated process involving multiple government bodies. We manage the full compliance process so you do not have to navigate it alone.

  • 📋
Export Permit — Application and approval through the Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development.
  • 💰
Mineral Royalty Tax — Declaration and payment of mineral royalty tax to the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) on all gold exports.
  • 🏦
Bank of Zambia Notification — Foreign exchange and export notifications as required under Bank of Zambia regulations.
  • 📦
Customs Documentation — All customs clearance documentation, export declarations, and HS code classifications.
  • ✈️
Shipping & Insurance — Coordination with secure freight partners for physical gold transport, with appropriate insurance cover.
  • 📄
Certificate of Origin — Where required by the destination country or buyer.
Important Note

All Exports are Legal and Compliant

We do not facilitate unlicensed or undeclared gold exports. Every export goes through the proper Zambian regulatory channels — Ministry of Mines, ZRA, and Bank of Zambia — with full documentation.

This protects both you as the buyer and us as the service provider. Buyers should be wary of anyone offering to export gold without proper documentation — this is both illegal and a common element of gold scams.
